Privacy Policy

Backroom: Purchase Orders ("the App") is provided by Carlos Ramirez ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App collects when a merchant installs it on a Shopify store, how that information is used, and the choices merchants have.

Information we collect

• Store details: the store's myshopify.com domain and the access token Shopify issues to the App, used to make API requests on the store's behalf.
• Data you create in the App: suppliers (name, contact name, email, phone, lead time and notes), purchase orders, receipts, reorder rules and stock counts.
• Product and inventory details from Shopify: product and variant titles, SKUs, barcodes, unit costs, prices, locations and inventory quantities, which the App reads to show and update inventory.

The App does not access, collect or store personal information about the store's customers or orders.

How we use information

We use this information only to provide the App's features: managing purchase orders, receiving stock, updating inventory quantities and costs in Shopify, suggesting reorders, running stock counts and printing labels. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that host the App and its database, who may process it solely to run the App, and when required by law.

Retention and deletion

We keep store data while the App is installed. When a merchant uninstalls the App, its access token is deleted right away. Shopify sends a data deletion request 48 hours after uninstalling, and we delete all remaining data for that store when we receive it.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to the App's systems is limited to what is needed to operate it.

Your choices

Merchants can edit or delete suppliers, purchase orders and other data in the App at any time, or uninstall the App to have their data deleted. For other requests about your data, contact us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed; significant changes will be communicated to merchants using the App.
